Õstersund (Sweden)
Östersund, Jämtland's only city, is situated in the eastern shore of lake Storsjön. It is linked to the island of Frösön and the surrounding mainland by serveral beautiful bridges.
Mora (Sweden)
The town is located on the northern shore of lake Siljan. The northern part of the municipality marks the beginning of the Scandinavian mountain range.
The house where Swedish painter Anders Zorn was born in 1860 is in Mora and has been turned into a museum.
Mora is also known as the end of the Vasaloppet, an enduring 90 kilometers long skiing event, with more than 15,000 annual participants. This has been made in honour of the King Gustav Vasa in the 16th century, who was held to have skiid between Mora and the town Sälen while escaping from Danes.
Karlstad (Sweden)
Karlstad is a city in Värmland, Sweden and the seat of Karlstad Municipality and the capital of Värmland County. Karlstad has a University and a Cathedral.
The city of Karlstad is built on the islands and islets which make up the river delta on the northern shore of the largest lake in Sweden, Vänern. It has the second largest lake port in the country after Västerås.
